Free trial battery life extender

Avast Battery Saver is a free trial Windows application that extends the life of your laptop’s battery. It analyses which apps are draining the system the most, letting you disable them if you’re not using them. It’s especially useful when you’re working in a space where there’s no power nearby.

Other apps that serve a similar function include Battery Mode, Battery Limiter and HP Battery Check. However, the free trial only lasts for a certain period, after which you’ll need to upgrade to a paid membership. It gives you the chance to test all the features before you pay.

Extend your laptop’s battery life

Avast Battery Saver is one of Avast's many tools among others that include a secure browser, antivirus protection and blocking your cam from spying eyes. If you install any Avast product on your laptop, then there's a high probability you’ll see an advert to extend your battery’s life.

The free trial lets you install and test Avast Battery Saver before you buy the product. It will analyse how much power your laptop is using and how much time you have left if there’s no cable attached. It also makes recommendations on how to extend the power.

Manage Windows performance

One of the ways Avast Battery Saver works is by checking how hard your CPU is working. It checks if it really needs to use all the system resources before reducing them. For instance, you can dim the brightness of the screen or minimise how much you display on it.

You’ll see several options appear when you enable it. However, disabling Avast Battery Saver is also easy by the toggle of a switch, or you can head to apps in your Windows settings and turn it off.

Disable power-draining apps

You may not know which apps are draining your laptop the most, which is where Avast Battery Saver comes into play. It will check to see which ones are absolutely necessary and ask if you want to disable the others. For instance, you may want to disable some background processes or the Wi-Fi if you’re not using the internet.

Long live the battery

Avast Battery Saver works well with Windows laptops and enables you to quickly extend the battery life when you’re working away from home. The only issue is whether it’s worth paying for the membership, which you can determine by how often your battery life runs out.

On the other hand, if you already have another Avast product, it may be worthwhile to add the Avast Battery Saver to the package at a discount.
